Sea Pact Welcomes Mark Foods as Our Newest Member
We’re pleased to announce that Mark Foods has officially joined Sea Pact as our 12th member. With a strong focus on responsible sourcing and supply chain integrity, Mark Foods brings valuable experience and perspective to Sea Pact as we continue working collaboratively to advance sustainability across the seafood industry.
Mark Foods has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to fishery improvements and progress in key sourcing regions. The company is a longtime supporter of the Honduras Caribbean spiny lobster – trap Fishery Improvement Project (FIP), helping strengthen responsible management in the fishery. In addition, Mark Foods supports broader seafood sustainability initiatives through participation in Sustainable Fisheries Partnership’s Global Octopus Supply Chain Roundtable, contributing to industry efforts aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and outcomes across the octopus sector.
“Mark Foods joining Sea Pact builds on the strong collaboration already underway across our membership,” said Sam Grimley, Executive Director of Sea Pact. “Their engagement and leadership adds valuable contributions to Sea Pact’s sustainability efforts and reinforces our shared commitment to responsible seafood.”
“Joining Sea Pact is a natural step for Mark Foods as we continue to deepen our responsible sourcing commitment,” said Joe Weitzer, Partner with Mark Foods. “We value the opportunity to collaborate with other Sea Pact members and contribute to initiatives that support meaningful, industry-wide progress.”
Sea Pact’s strength lies in the collective action and shared accountability of its members. With Mark Foods joining the coalition, we are expanding not only our membership, but also the depth of expertise and collaboration available to support measurable improvements in fisheries and supply chains around the world.
We’re excited to welcome Mark Foods to Sea Pact and look forward to the impact of this new membership.
